2 Rs Writing Group
This group meets on the first Friday of each month at 2pm in the libr ary.
Have you ever tried to write something?
Have you a poem or a short story tucked away?
Or would you like to write but can’t get started?
Perhaps you'd like to tell others about your life, or maybe your children or grandchildren?
If you enjoy writing or simply wish to begin, just turn up and join our WRITING GROUP.
The meetings are quite informal and there are no fees. We encourage members to read anything they have written and are willing to expose to other writers. If you are stuck in the middle of a novel, have ambitions to publish a slim volume of poetry, or even writing the definitive guide to the place of the potato in English folklore, sharing your problems can sometimes help. We have had all sorts of work presented, from poems, to short stories, to short articles about subjects of interest. So, what have you got to show us or tell us about? We are very kind to one another and try to be encouraging!!
Membership is free to members of the library (the Library kindly lets us use a room for free), just a small contribution if you want tea or coffee – bring your own
biscuits. Meetings last until about 4pm, depending on the numbers of those attending. If you think you might be interested, just turn up, or ask at the Library’s enquiry desk. Alternatively, contact Roland.
