Our Information/Studies library is located on the first floor at the rear of the building where you can find the majority of the non-fiction books for lending and a range of quick reference and general reference material.
You will also find local information such as doctors/dentists lists, evening class prospectuses, railway timetables, bus maps etc; local history information and our self service photocopying machine. There are comfortable chairs for browsing and reading our range of newspapers and magazines, along with tables for those who wish to study.  (Although it is often reasonably quiet, we do not operate a silence rule - Lambeth's West Norwood Library is the nearest facility offering a room devoted to silent study)

Local History Collections

Access to our Local History collections of the Crystal Palace, which burnt down in 1936, and coverage of Upper Norwood and neighbouring districts can be viewed with the librarian in this department. Local History postcards of the area are for sale at the enquiry desk on the ground floor.
